Water is a limited and valuable resource.  Living close to Lake Michigan, we often forget that our water resources are not infinite.  Living in the "land of plenty" often means that we use (and misuse) water without even thinking about it.

To increase public awareness of water supply
issues, Waukesha County and the City of Waukesha formed a water conservation coalition. On September 26, 2006 the first meeting of the Water Conservation Coalition was held at Retzer Nature Center.  The Coalition has representatives from a number of municipalities as well as organizations from Waukesha and Milwaukee Counties.  Though the issues facing the counties are very different, the conservation message that they both are working to convey is the same.

Though the Coalition was founded in Waukesha, we recently changed our name to Wisconsin Water Conservation Coalition.  We seek to expand our message and work outside the boundaries of a local name.

The Wisconsin Water Conservation Coalition is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization
