To increase public awareness of water supply issues,  Waukesha  County and the City of Waukesha  formed a water conservation coalition. On September 26,  2006 the first meeting of the Water Conservation Coalition was held at Retzer Nature Center.  The Coalition has representatives from a number of municipalities as well as organizations from Waukesha and Milwaukee Counties.  Though the issues facing the counties are very different, the conservation message that they both are working to convey is the same.

Mission:  The Wisconsin Water Conservation Coalition is a diverse group of individuals working together to educate the general public about local drinking water resources and inspire residents, businesses and institutions to use water conservation measures to create sustainable communities in Wisconsin.
